Video - "Qi Gong: Ancient Healing for the 21st Century"
This video introduces many systems of Qi Gong and documents the lives of masters throughout China. New and old pracitces are explored through scientific research and personal experience. You will be taken to remote areas of China to listen to Qi Gong masters speak candidly of their experience of this ancient healing art.
Qi Gong - The 8 Brocrade (Ba Duan Jin) - the most widely practiced system of qi gong in China. It consists of a series of 8 postures and movements completed with deep breathing. The 8 Brocade can open and regulate the flow of energy (qi) through the body. The meridans or channels of energy can open and the 12 main organs may benefit from improved circulation. When the body is free of blockages the mind will experience more calmness. Stress reduction and improved vitality is a natural and evolving byproduct of regular Qi Gong practice.
Mike Cruickshanks is a Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Registered Acupuncturist, Bodytalk Practitioner and Qi Gong (chee kung) teacher. He has studied many years of meditation, attending long retreats and investigating Buddhist practice through Vipassana Meditation as taught by SN Goenka. Michael's background in energy medicine began in his late teens as a martial artist. He achieved his black belt at a young age and was successfully treated for allergies from his martial arts teacher. This inspired Michael to further investigate the healing potential of the body/mind. After completing his degree at university in Psychology he decided to pursue a full-time program in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine including an in-depth study of many systems of Qi Gong. An internship was completed in China and later ran a successful practice in Ontario. After a few years of practice Mike decided to take a sabbatical and immerse himself in the study, practice and service of Vipassana meditation. Some years later his focus then moved away from formal meditation practice. He was once again excited to begin learning, practicing and teaching Acupuncture and other forms of energy medicine including Bodytalk and Qi Gong. He is offering his services at the Willow Yoga Studio in Midhurst and at the Reiki Centre in Alliston.

OSIRIS CARDS
These cards reflect one of the purest loves of all times, the love of ISIS and OSIRIS and as such they have many blessings to bestow upon an individual. They do, however, provide insight, honesty and guidance through a series of "laying of the cards". As the cards deal with the client's questions they progress throughout the reading to move on to other things within the client's life or that which is coming into the client's life.
There are two sizes of readings offered: a mini reading which takes approximately 25 minutes ($50) and a full reading which takes 45 minutes ($70).
Both of these readings also incorporate the use of the OSIRIS BOARD. The board truly is the "bow" that ties it all together and covers all aspects of your life: Home, Business, Path (Character), Love, Future and Past. The Board also provides the opportunity for the client to become truly aware of their own gifts. Everyone has the gift, just some more than others and what is offered with the board allows the client to interact their natural instincts with the reading before them, thereby challenging themselves to listen truly to their gut instinct and if they do not the consequence of such. At the end of the Board reading a Final Card is laid out and this is the client's personal card relating solely to the client and the reading that has just been done.
