Guidelines

» Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to register, sign in and get ready for class
» Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing and practice in bare feet
» It is best to practice yoga/pilates on an empty stomach
» Please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne
» Students are encouraged to bring their own mats to classes and workshops
» However, there will be mats and other equipment available should you need it
» All cell phones and pagers should be turned off before entering the studio
» Inform the teacher prior to class about any injuries, recent surgery or health conditions
» All students are responsible for their own practice
» Be conscious and aware of over stretching and injuries

Class Descriptions

Hatha Yoga
Through the holding of poses, proper alignment and mindful actions of the body can be found. Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength and a sense of well being.

Level I - An introduction to the breathing style and fundamentals of Hatha Yoga. Suitable for those who want a slower pace.

Level II - These classes are designed to further the student's strength, stamina and flexibility as more advanced postures are integrated. A greater range of inversions, back bending and basic arm balances are introduced. This class is not for first time students.

Vinyasa Yoga
This class concentrates on moving from one pose to the next linking movement with breath.

Pilates
Pilates is a system of controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the total body. It is a blend of strength and flexibility training that improves posture, reduces stress and creates long lean muscles.

Gentle Yoga
This class combines breath work, gentle stretches and postures and is suitable for beginners or those who want to work at a slower pace.
